There are many different ways that teams function throughout the Real Estate industry. At West + Main, we're happy to support teams of various size and levels of production, so that everyone has the opportunity to find their perfect place in our space.

If you've been selling for a while and want to take the next step in your career, building and leading a team might be a great path to take!

If you have experience mentoring or teaching in any capacity or even in a past career, Team Lead might be the next natural step.
If you like managing people and providing opportunities to help them grow and become even more successful in their sales role, team leadership could be the perfect place for you.
If you are aiming to create an entity which could eventually be valuated and provide an exit strategy from the business when it's time for you to step back from daily responsibilities, team leadership might be worth exploring.

Example of a Team Structure

A typical team at West + Main consists of:

A very experienced Team Lead who has a solid and consistent sales business of their own - and enough overflow business to share with their team members. The most successful Team Leads also have a lead generation strategy and are willing to invest heavily in marketing, coaching and support for their team.
Several licensed Team Members who actively sell Real Estate and are happy to share a portion of their commission in exchange for the benefits they receive from being on the team.
At least one Admin who supports the team with marketing, events and other administrative duties.
A Transaction Coordinator who manages files + paperwork for the team.

We also support teams that consist of two partners. Most often, these are individual agents who enjoy working together and supporting one another, who have like-minded goals and missions for their business, and who strive to benefit from a team-like structure while keeping things a bit more simple than building a bigger team.
